Spiders are a big deal in Minnesota. Due to all the lakes, woods, and other bodies of water spiders thrive here. Luckily it's extremely rare to run into any harmful ones but that doesn't mean they don't look scary!
Our spider service prevents them from getting inside the home and from building cobwebs outside the home. In the spring, summer, and fall spiders like other insects are continuously moving in and out of homes to find food and mate. By treating just the exterior of the home not only does our treatment cut down the population of spiders living outside but you will also see a difference in spider activity inside. During our service, we first walk around the home to knock down any cobwebs. After the web knock-down, we treat around the foundation, soffits, corners, downspouts, windows, and doors. The treatment then sticks to these surfaces and will kill any spider crawling on your home for up to 2 months.
Homes built near water or woods may need multiple treatments to control the spider population around the home. We also are not a cleaning service. If the cobwebs on the home are uncontainable we will recommend getting the home power sprayed first before we apply our treatment.
2 types of spiders live here in Minnesota. There are web-building spiders and there are hunting spiders. Web-building spiders build webs to catch their food. They also can leave egg sacs inside their webs that can hatch over 100 baby spiders if they are not removed. The most common web-building spiders include; the common house spider, daddy long legs (harvestmen), and cellar spider. Hunting spiders do not build webs and instead go out and hunt for their food. The most common hunting spiders include; the wolf spider, sac spider, and jumping spider.
